Atlas Obscura partnered with Land Rover as the exclusive presenting sponsor of the app to celebrate the 2021 Land Rover Discovery and show people what it means to rediscover adventure in 2021. Developed in partnership with Land Rover’s brand media agency of record dentsu X, together, we created a three-part documentary series that showcased real, modern families as they road tripped across America to visit unusual places.
A list of places corresponding to each episode of the video series were featured within the Atlas Obscura app, from unique roadside sights uncovered throughout the desert of Palm Springs with Actor Leonardo Nam (Westworld, Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift), to the lush wilderness of Oregon with Olympian and sports broadcaster Jessica Mendoza and finally, to the historic food and music-infused streets of Nashville with former professional soccer player Tim Howard, the Discovery vehicle safely and comfortably transported these families across diverse terrains filled with awe-inspiring new experiences.
